Belle Renter Policies

1. Who Can Rent

Renters must be at least 13 years old. Renters under 18 must have a parent or guardian who approves the rental and agrees to these policies.

2. Membership Early Access

Belle members receive 48-hour early access to newly approved dresses. After the 48-hour window, all dresses become visible to every visitor. Memberships are $30 per year and include additional perks such as 10-day rental windows.

3. Rental Period

Each rental includes a standard 5-day window. Extra days may be added at 2% of the rental fee per additional day. Your pickup date is scheduled before your event, and the dress must be returned according to the return instructions provided after checkout.

4. Cleaning & Availability Buffers

To ensure every dress arrives in perfect condition, each reservation automatically blocks 4 days after your event for cleaning and inspection. These dates are not available for other renters and help us maintain Belle's quality standards.

5. Refundable Security Deposit

A flat $35 refundable security deposit is charged at checkout for every rental. The deposit is refunded automatically once the dress is returned and inspected. If the dress is returned with damage beyond normal wear, part or all of the deposit may be retained to cover repair or cleaning costs.

6. Sales Tax

Kansas sales tax of 9.225% is applied to the rental subtotal. Tax is collected at checkout and remitted to the appropriate tax authorities.

7. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel a rental at any time before pickup. Cancellations made more than 3 days before pickup receive a full refund. Cancellations within 3 days of pickup incur a 20% cancellation fee. The remaining balance is refunded to your original payment method.

8. Damage, Loss & Cleaning Fees

Normal wear such as minor wrinkles or loose threads is expected. Damage including stains, tears, missing beads, broken zippers, or odors may result in a cleaning or repair charge deducted from your deposit or charged to your card on file. Lost or severely damaged dresses may be charged at up to the listed retail value.

9. Delivery & Pickup

Delivery is available only to addresses within 5 miles of our Kansas City location. All other rentals are picked up at the scheduled Belle location. Delivery availability is confirmed at checkout based on the address saved to your account.

10. Late Returns

Dresses returned after the agreed return date may incur additional daily rental charges and may forfeit the refundable deposit. If you need to extend your rental, contact us before the return date.

11. Acceptance

By reserving a dress, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Renter Policies.
